New - Sea Kayak Rescue Course

Join us for a fun day on the water while learning a wide range of kayak rescue skills and techniques. Having the knowledge and confidence allows you to relax and enjoy your time on the water; we have created a course that gives you the hands on experience in a fun environment.

Scenarios covered: Fellow paddler needs a tow, capsized a kayak while out paddling alone, damaged kayaks, fellow kayaker becomes unwell while out on the water. All of this and more will be explored during your time on our course:

Self rescue in a closed cockpit kayak
Rescuing others
Towing
Safety equipment to use on the water
Rough water rescues and close to the rocks.
Launching and landing
Injured paddler

H2oadventures has a fleet of P&H sea kayaks for you to use on the course, if you have your own equipment please feel free to use them. All kit can be supplied including buoyancy aids, helmets and wetsuits. Our kayak rescue course (typically 9.30am - 3pm) can be booked as individuals or you can book a group or kayak club to come down for the day, get in touch for a bespoke event.
